Additionally, the majority of college students who admit to cheating also report negative attitudes towards cheating. Cava (2000) attempted to explain this belief-behavior discrepancy using Bandura\u2019s theory of moral disengagement and identified eight significant predictors of academic cheating and/or moral disengagement among a population of junior high students.
