|a This study focused on the University Partnership Center (UPC) at St. Petersburg College and how it was the impetus for changing St. Petersburg College (SPC) from a two-year college to a four-year college. The method used to explore this phenomenon was qualitative research in the case study tradition. The sample was comprised of five purposively selected leaders who were directly involved in the creation of the UPC at SPC. Data was collected through the use of structured interviews, including the use of open-ended questions as well as a review of other pertinent documentation. Data analysis procedures and methods verification in the case study tradition were followed. The data collected was analyzed through the use of coding, triangulation, and interpretation by the researcher. Findings were presented in response to the research question. Through use of deep, rich descriptions, I sought to produce knowledge while establishing trustworthiness, credibility, and transferability within this qualitative study. |
