|a The purpose of this study was to examine sport psychology practitioners’ experiences with facilitating social cohesion. Ten sport psychology practitioners (M= 37.80; SD= 6.23) were interviewed about their experiences with and approaches to working with teams to enhance social cohesion. A total of 395 meaning units were used to create fifteen sub-themes and two over-arching main themes: Understanding Social Cohesion and Facilitating Social Cohesion. The results are discussed in relation to previous research, future directions for further exploration, and practical implications for sport psychology practitioners. |
