|a Core activation is an essential component of movement, especially in athletics, as it allows the body to easily distribute forces and control distal extremity movement. The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of core activation on hip and knee flexion, as well as vGRF. Results indicated no significant difference in hip and knee flexion or vGRF (p > .05) between non-intentional and intentional core activation conditions. With individual variability present in the results, the need to further examine the effect of core stability on distal extremity movement is warranted. |
