- Dissertation Co-Chairpersons: Dr. Betty Hubschman and Dr. Jia Wang There are two objectives and three hypotheses developed to examine if a relationship existed among workplace learning, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in small to midsize information technology (IT) companies in Taiwan. Data were collected from employees (N = 206) working in small to midsize IT companies in Taiwan. Respondents completed the questionnaires that contained the workplace learning survey from Rowden Small Business Workplace Learning Survey (SBWLS) developed by Rowden (1995); the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) developed by Weiss, Dawis, England, and Lofquist (1967); the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) developed by Mowday et al. (1979); and a set of demographic questions. The demographic questionnaire was used to gather background information regarding respondent age, education, gender, tenure, and marital status, all of which were derived from the research literature.
