|a In the present study, the relative effectiveness of Project ALERT and TRUST was examined. The participants were 902 middle school students. Results yielded mostly non-significant differences between the programs. However, one significant difference found was in that students who were exposed to Project ALERT were less likely to engage in recent cigarette use than those exposed to TRUST. Implications of findings as they relate to implementation of drug prevention programs within schools are discussed. |
